Aaron Robert Risley Computer Lab -- classes now in session!
Computers 102 Class
Sign up now
The first series of Computers 101 sessions are complete and "graduates" and new students are encouraged to sign up for the next class at the Sanbornton Public Library. All classes are free and last about an hour.
WHAT
Computers 102 will cover:
- Basic Internet
- Internet Security
- Beginning Email
If interested, please sign up at the Library or reply to this email, noting any preference for days and/ or time of day. If you know of someone who would like to attend, please pass along this email or encourage them to call the Library at 286-8288.
WHEN
Once there is a critical mass of participants -- usually capped at 5 or 6 per session -- we will schedule firm dates and times for the sessions.
GOT SKILLS, OR WHAT'S NEXT?
Alternatively, if you or someone you know would be interested in leading a class in the future, please let us know. We have long list of ideas for technology-related classes and would certainly welcome help from outside experts.
Just a few potential topics to whet your whistle: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc. -- beginner & advanced); online job searching; online genealogy research; advanced internet searching; saving money online; social networking (Facebook, etc.); website design; DIY computer building, upgrades, and maintenance; downloadable ebooks and audiobooks; desktop publishing; digital scrapbooking; finding and using free software; and so it goes!
